On October 17, 2011, the Department of Health Care Policy is changing how information will appear on the Department’s Provider Web Portal. This will help in more clearly identifying a CHP+ enrollees’ Health Plan affiliation, along with the enrollment begin and end dates. These changes have been made to address health care provider questions with the Health Plan affiliation of CHP+ clients and to improve the availability and accuracy of enrollment data to the health care provider community. RSV season is right around the corner! For the 2011-12 RSV season, CHP+ State Managed Care Network (SMCN) will allow Synagis prophylaxis injections to process between November 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012.

CHP+ SMCN will again be using US Bioservices to provide the medication to either your office of the patient's home for administration.

CHP+ SMCN will continue to use the 2009 AAP guidelines for determining coverage of Synagis. Click here to find the criteria for coverage and the necessary forms for prior authorization.
