Dr. Genie Pritchett Joins Colorado Access

Colorado Access announced that nationally recognized geriatrician, Dr. Genie Pritchett, has joined the company as senior medical director.   Dr. Pritchett’s primary duty will be to provide clinical oversight of Colorado Access’ Medicare Advantage Program, Colorado Access Advantage. 

“I look forward to assisting Colorado Access in their mission to serve Colorado’s medically underserved” said Dr. Pritchett. 

Dr. Pritchett is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.  She completed an internship and residency at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, followed by a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. Aside from her work with Colorado Access, Dr. Pritchett currently serves as a clinical geriatrician at Senior Care of Colorado.  Additionally, she was recently notified that she was accepted for service in Doctors without Borders. The country in which she will serve is to be determined. She will begin service with the organization in November. 

Dr. Pritchett’s service is widely recognized through a variety of awards including the 2006 President’s Volunteer Service Award from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation - for service in New Orleans after Katrina, and a 1996 nomination for Colorado Health Care Association, Physician of the Year.
