Dr. Alexis Giese Honored with Outstanding Achievement Award

Aurora, Colo – Colorado Access, the largest public sector health plan in the state, announced that Dr. Alexis Giese, senior vice president of health care systems and chief medical officer, was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Colorado Psychiatric Society for outstanding contributions to the field of mental health.

“Colorado Access has a strong foundation in mental health, and that is in large part due to the expertise Alexis brings to the team,” said Annie Lee, president and CEO at Colorado Access. “Our company has benefited from such rich leadership over the years, and her contributions to the field of mental health will be long lasting.”

During the Colorado Psychiatric Society annual meeting in April, Dr. Giese was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award. This peer-nominated award recognizes a psychiatric colleague who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of mental health. Dr. Giese has more than 30 years of experience in innovative service delivery and as a practicing psychiatrist. She was honored with this award for her dedication, expertise and leadership working across systems to help Coloradans access quality behavioral health care and for preparing the next generation of psychiatrist leaders.
