Phil is the chief financial and operations officer of Colorado Access and has been with the company for almost 18 years. Prior to coming to Colorado Access, Phil worked for the State of Colorado for 21 years, including seven years at the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. In all, Phil has dedicated almost 25 years of his career to the Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) population. Being part of the solution is a passion. Phil is a third- generation Coloradan and was born and raised in Denver. Phil has three adult children, they are all now close friends, but his kids are off on their own and so Phil concentrates his time on his dog Bru, his home, his garden, his friends, exercise, and travel (“where are we going next?”). He is also a music enthusiast and especially enjoys jazz, rock, and blues. Live music is a must! Beyond being a serious executive and finance guy, he loves to laugh and is a “ham!”
