Denver Business Journal Names Bobby King As Inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award Winner

Aurora, Colo – Colorado Access, the largest public sector health plan in the state, announced that Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bobby King is the recipient of the inaugural Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Award by Denver Business Journal.

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion are part of our core values at Colorado Access,” said Annie Lee, president and CEO at Colorado Access. “Under Bobby’s leadership, we are making major strides toward meaningfully demonstrating and integrating these values in our work to serve our members, providers and community partners.”

King will be celebrated at a June 16, 2022, event for his leadership in promoting authentic diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Several organizations and individuals from around the Denver metro area who are going above and beyond to increase equity across all areas of diversity will also be honored.

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion are key components to creating opportunities that are more representative of our workforce and the communities in which we serve,” said King. “The recognition for our effort indicates that what we’ve done thus far has made an impact.”

King is the first vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Colorado Access and has led the company to implement many organizational changes. This includes a robust, multi-faceted education and engagement program for employees, as well as cultivating community partnerships to enhance opportunities for underrepresented populations in Colorado.
