Colorado Access Adds Dan Rieber of UCHealth To Board Of Directors

DENVER — Colorado Access has announced that Dan Rieber, chief financial officer for UCHealth, will be joining its board of directors. Rieber has a long history of working in health care finance; his professional history includes more than two decades of experience and positions in hospitals in Colorado and Iowa that he will bring to the Colorado Access board of directors.

“We enthusiastically welcome Dan to our board and look forward to his contributions,“ said Annie Lee, president and chief executive officer at Colorado Access, “His extensive experience and history in Colorado will be a wonderful addition to our board.”

As chief financial officer for UCHealth, Rieber works with a nationally recognized, nonprofit health care system with a revenue of $6 billion and a workforce of about 28,000 people in Colorado.

“I’m excited to join the Colorado Access board of directors and help the organization continue their important work of expanding access to quality, equitable and affordable care throughout our state,” said Rieber.

Rieber was appointed chief financial officer for UCHealth in 2018, but joined UCHealth in 2007 as the director of finance and controller at University of Colorado Hospital. He then took the role of UCHealth Memorial chief financial officer in 2014, overseeing finances for Memorial Hospital Central, Memorial Hospital North and outpatient clinic locations in Colorado Springs. Rieber also managed the finances for several of UCHealth’s community hospitals and expansion projects. Prior to working for UCHealth his career included tenures at both Centura Health and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Iowa State University, and is a certified accountant.
