Colorado Access Expands Policy Role in Health Care
AURORA, Colo. – Colorado Access announces the addition of Stephanie Glover as the senior health policy analyst. Glover brings years of health policy experience to the company, helping fortify Colorado Access as a leader in health care policy in Colorado.
“Stephanie’s background working with the different populations to increase access to quality, affordable health care aligns directly with our mission,” says Gretchen McGinnis, senior vice president of health care systems and accountable care at Colorado Access. “Her expertise will help propel the company forward into affecting policy that will ultimately help ensure that more people have access to the care they need.”
Glover’s work has traversed the fields of advocacy, research, and politics. She spent extensive time in Washington DC where she worked on Medicaid and private insurance policy, including the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Glover also researched and evaluated a federally-funded school-based health program in Texas while at the Child and Family Research Partnership. Prior to that, she managed fundraising and events at the Women’s Campaign Fund. Stephanie also worked at the National Women’s Law Center as a health policy fellow.
Stephanie graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and earned her Masters of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. Prior to her move to Colorado, Glover spent eight years in Washington DC, where she most recently worked for the National Partnership for Women & Families as the senior health policy analyst. In this role, her focus was on federal policy as it relates to increasing access to quality, affordable health care, including the promotion of health equity and maternal health.

The state of Colorado continues to be a leader in Medicaid policy. The current health care climate continues to display the importance of being present at the state level and even federal level to affect health care. Glover’s role presents an evolving opportunity to further strengthen Colorado Access policy goals and advocacy presence.
