We are looking for members, providers, and community partners with diverse perspectives to serve on our advisory groups. Share your point of view to help us improve health care in our region! To apply, fill out the application below.

Who Should Apply for an Advisory Group

We want people like you to help us improve our members’ health care experience. We want to bring different perspectives and life experiences to our groups. You don’t need advisory group experience to apply. Please consider applying if you’re someone who can:

Share suggestions and solutions to improve Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and CHP+
Talk about your personal experience while also thinking about the bigger picture
Work with others and listen to their point of view
Come to the group’s meetings. See below for each group’s meeting frequency.

We encourage applications from all people, including those living with disabilities, caregivers, and people who speak a language other than English. We provide accommodations and language interpretation.

Member Advisory Council for Child and Youth Health Care

Purpose: To improve health care for children, youth, and pregnant and postpartum people covered by Health First Colorado and CHP+
Who can serve: Families/caregivers who care for a child covered by Health First Colorado or CHP+. (Please note, this is not a youth-driven council, but a council focused on systems that serve children and youth.)
Meetings: Every other month

Member Advisory Council for Adult Health Care

Purpose: To improve health care for adults covered by Health First Colorado
Who can serve: Colorado Access members and families/caregivers
Meetings: Every other month

Program Improvement Advisory Committee for Child and Youth Health Care

Purpose: To improve health care for children, youth, and pregnant and postpartum people covered by Health First Colorado and CHP+
Who can serve: Community partners, providers, local public health agencies, and families/caregivers who care for a child covered by Health First Colorado or CHP+.
Meetings: Quarterly (once every three months)

Program Improvement Advisory Committee for Adult Health Care

Purpose: To improve health care for adults covered by Health First Colorado
Who can serve: Community partners, providers, local public health agencies, advocates, Colorado Access members, and families/caregivers
Meetings: Quarterly (once every three months)

Regional Health Equity Committee

Purpose: To understand health equity challenges and recommend ways to address health disparities
Who can serve: Community partners, providers, local public health agencies, advocates, Colorado Access members, and families/caregivers
Meetings: Twice a year
